Busy Week

So this week has been super busy, lots of things going on at work all with tight deadlines, parents evening for my youngest, physio for my foot (injured my foot last September training for a half marathon and finally decided to try to get it fixed) and I was trying so hard to get 10k steps in per day (especially as I cannot run at the moment) with a bit of the gym to help with my weight loss goals for this month.

Weight loss was good this week, but I am going to do a separate post for that one and will insert a link in after.

The weather the last few days has been amazing, with striking blue skys and it has actually been warm!!!!! Yesterday (Saturday) was crazy – dashed for weigh in at weightwatchers but didn’t stay for the group meeting, went to Costco, then had some other bits to do before meeting my sister, husband and her children at Elvaston Castle so we could take Luna and her puppy Molly to have a nice walk.  Was beautiful but very busy as it seems like everyone had the same idea.  Had to dash back to take daughter to work, before heading out to walk down to Ilkeston’s new train station – needed to pick some tickets that I had bought on line and since we hadn’t been to the station since it opened thought it would be nice to walk down and have a nosey.  We walked through a different park and let Luna off her lead for the first time – she was great – wanted to test it out whilst she is still young and not too over confident.  Then it was a shortish sit down before heading out to collect daughter from work – no wonder I am sooooo tired!!!

Today has mostly been cleaning, as my house was starting to resemble the local tip! and also cleaning out a chest freezer that had miraculously been turned off at the plug (no one would own up to it, so either Luna is clever enough to manoeuver down the side and reach up and switch the plug off!!!! or we now have a ghost that likes to defrost freezers) so anyway, had to throw some food away and try to empty out several inches of horrible stinky water. Chest freezer is back on now though, and has been refilled.  Made dinner and actually had a nanna nap – think the anti histamines I took as my hay fever has kicked in made me even more tired (couple with getting up at 6 with Luna to let her out)….. so it was about 6pm before we headed out to the park with Luna.  We went up to Shipley this time and drove part the way so we could walk around one of the reservoirs and a quiet field next to the cricket pitch so we could try Luna off her lead again.  Had turned slightly cooler, but was a beautiful evening.

Lovely bluebells and my poor photography really doesn’t do them justice!!

Sorry for a rambley post, but just a mad busy week at work and with the kids……
