This years reading challenge

Today I have been sorting out my bedroom – feels like I was busy for hours but only just scratched the surface.  I did find a couple of books that had worked themselves into a hiding spot!  This got me thinking about my personal reading challenge for this year.  Every year I seem to set myself a target to read so many books, but life gets in the way and I don’t always read them.

Sometimes I start playing on the Xbox so my reading time is reduced……or if I get into a box set I stay up watching them back to back and again the reading time goes down….or if I start a craft project…..you get what I mean.

This year I am thinking of listing a few books I want to read and then just doing a quick update every now and again.

Some of these books will be easy chick lit types as I find them easiest on a car journey (when I am not driving obvs!!!!) and some will need more thought.

So what’s in my Reading Challenge Book List for 2019?

Here is a list of 5 books I am going to start on (as soon as I have finished my current book)

This book is about childhood sweethearts. On their 25th anniversary, Rae finds out about a shocking betrayal – this may be a little too close to my life (also from a childhood sweetheart relationship and it’s my 25th anniversary this year!)

This book is about Emmeline Lake who dreams about becoming a war correspondent. Instead of a correspondant she becomes a typist for an agony aunt. She starts to write letters back to those the agony aunt doesn’t want to read or answer.

I literally can’t wait to get started on these books 🙂

I will try and do an update when I am done reading them…..unless I cannot wait that long!
