Midweek Tea Break

Thought I would try a different sort of post for 2019.  I am hoping to try and post this every week midweek.  It’s only supposed to be a short post – something to digest on your hump day afternoon tea break!

Things I am currently watching

There are a couple of series I am currently watching

The Gilmore Girls – I have meant to watch this literally forever, its one of those shows that so many people tweet/talk about. I always try and avoid watching until the hype dies down.  But I love it, it’s just so easy to watch.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – this is one that we found whilst looking for something lighthearted.  I am not sure if I like it or not.  Its at times cringy, at times funny and at times blooming annoying.  It has a slightly different format in that you never know when they will suddenly start singing!  Anyway, it’s easy to have on for background noise and I do want to get to the end to see what happens.

I have just finished watching You, the last series of A Series of Unfortunate Events and Good Girls.  Loved all of them and I am so pleased with myself for getting through so many plus loads of films of Christmas.

I am also watching loads of YouTube.  My current Favourites are Demolition Ranch; Vet Ranch; Pewdiepie; Joe Robinet; Lucy Wood; and Zoe Sugg.  I am also watching things like Amanda Cypert. Her WW Meal Prep videos inspire me.

Things I am currently reading

I am intending to post my reading goal for this year as a separate post, so I am not concentrating on books here.  At the moment I am reading a pyrography book that I got for Christmas. I really want to learn how to do it.  Also, try and take advantage of the Prime Reading that comes with my Amazon Prime (click on the link to get a free trial)  I have a few books on my Kindle App on my Ipad; the latest is an easy read as I am trying to get back into reading regularly. At night I am so tired that I don’t want anything too heavy. Anyway, I am about half way through Christmas in Cupid Falls by Holly Jacobs.

I am also reading a few blogs, here are a few.

https://heleneinbetween.com this is a couple who moved to Europe from the States but have recently decided to move back.  Some beautiful pics – blog envy!

https://www.itstartswithcoffee.com/  – love this blog, so many ideas for bloggers who struggle to come up with content, but also just a nice blog to read.

https://www.thelifeofaglasgowgirl.co.uk/  this blog is so honest when she talks about her anxiety etc

Things I have done this week

Last Saturday I went to my first ever baby shower.  It was great fun even though I had a dare where I had to suck a dummy all through a pass the parcel game!  It was at Attenborough Nature Reserve, it was so busy as they were also expecting a Starling Murmuration (yes I didn’t know what it was either!!)  Basically it was a huge flock of Starlings that forms different shapes etc.

Sunday was a chilled day.  I played on the Xbox, got my meal prep done and also made Sunday dinner.

This week is another majorly busy one at work but I am determined to not let it interfere with my home life this year!  Tonight I could have worked but instead, I decided to go to a circuits class. I don’t think  I will be able to move tomorrow but luckily I am working from home so do not have to really!

Oh yes and the other thing I nearly forgot, is that my washer has broken down.  Its 3.5 years old and I know it gets a lot of use, but even so things really are not built to last anymore! I am having someone out to see if it’s repairable.

Next Week

I am looking forward to the weekend, as its always the first full week back after Christmas that’s the worst.  We do not have much planned, but to be honest I will just be happy with getting my food prep done and being able to relax.

That’s it, hope you have enjoyed my tea break type post.  Let me know in the comments if its a format you like!  Also, let me know what else you would like to see in my quick tea break posts…
