Weekly Update No 3

Welcome to Weekly Update No 3. This week has been another busy one at work. Lots of deadlines all hitting at once. On Tuesday I went to the running club for a reccie of the new cross country route and as it has been raining (a lot!) it was like doing proper cross country. The weekend has been a busy one too – hence the late upload (sorry!!)

Friday night we were invited along to the pub by my sister who is ending her year as a president for the Ilkeston Rotary Club. (The Rotary Club are a volunteer association that do good work for charity). It was a small celebratory night with a buffet and some live music. We had a good old sing along and it was great fun!

Birthday’s

Saturday was Ewans 14th Birthday and he didn’t want to do much so we went out for a family meal on Saturday night and that’s it.

I made a chocolate cake and whilst it isn’t the prettiest cake it tasted lovely!

Birthday day two – Outdoor cinema!

On Sunday night Ewan and I went to an outdoor cinema showing of The Greatest Showman (singalong) at Wollaton Hall (Wayne Manor in the Batman films).

It was forecast for torrential rain and thunderstorms so we took extra blankets, an umbrella and a rain poncho etc. Whilst was good, it could have done with being louder. The film didn’t start until 21:50 pm and then the heaviest rain started. And some people just do not think about others and put their umbrellas up and so we couldn’t see the full screen.

It was fun though but a late night as it didn’t finish until 23:30 pm so it was fun getting up for work today. Here are some pics of the night.

We didn’t try the refreshment vans as we took a flask some non alcoholic cider and a picnic!

Blog header

If you haven’t noticed I have a new header on my blog and I love it. It was designed by Chloe Buda (my daughter) who has just finished her first year studying Illustration at the University of Derby. Her Instagram is here, so go and follow her!

Weekly Update No 3 -Reading and Watching

I actually haven’t watched much on TV this week. But I have my eye on the new Good Girls series on Netflix – let me know in the comments if you have watched it. I loved the first series!

I like this article on public transport in Luxembourg if only they did that here in England!

And I liked this interesting article on dogs

Wishlist

I am still on a spending ban, trying to recover from my holiday but I really like this top – on Amazon!

We are going camping soon for a weekend and I really want one of these

That’s all for this week. Hope you all have a good week
