Fathers day 2019 gift ideas
With Fathers Day 2019 fast approaching, I thought I would post some gift ideas for those of you that may be struggling for a Dad that’s hard to buy for. If you use Amazon Prime there is still time to order and get delivery in time.
My Dad is really hard to buy for, he is 85 years old and has no hobbies. He had his hip replaced last year so doesn’t walk far and doesn’t drink huge amounts these days. Contrast to that is my husband who is into running and gaming so there is always something to buy.
I can’t believe how long this blog has been going for, here is a link to Fathers Day 2017 post – spoiler alert, we were enjoying a heatwave!!!!
Fathers Day 2019 gift ideas…
- Coins – I know my Father in Law loves collecting coins and there are new ones coming out all of the time and can suit all budgets. The main place to get them from in the UK is The Royal Mint, but there are other sites (just do your research first to check they are authentic and its a legit site).
- T-shirts – this may seem like a boring option, but it doesn’t have to be. Here is a good site with some nice T-shirts including options to create your own.
- If that’s not quite their thing, how about a gaming t-shirt
- Aftershave – I am not a huge fan of this one unless you know the type of fragrance that they like. I am really fussy about the type of scent I like, as they can make me sneeze and give me headaches – don’t ever get me anything too floral!! but it’s a good fallback when there is no other option for an awkward Dad.
- For the Dad who is a gamer Xbox One S 1 TB with Fortnite**
- Sunglasses – Fathers day is (supposedly) in the summer in the UK. Another nice gift idea is some sunnies, after all, you can never have too many pairs of sunnies. Here is a nice selection**
- Newspaper/Magazine subscription. You can even get an online reading subscription – these are great as you can share with up to 5 people and you can read the content offline.
- If your Dad isn’t into reading but gets stuck in the car a lot, perhaps an Audible subscription would be good. He might even look forward to getting stuck in traffic!!**
- Sunglasses – as Fathers day always happens at the start of the summer, what a better present than some new sunnies! Here is a great collection of sunglasses on Amazon.
- Alcohol – an easy but always popular option. For a more unusual option try The Sub. Its a draft beer option for the home! I mean what is not to like???
That’s a quick round-up of some easy ideas. Have a look and see what you think 🙂 Hope you and your family have a lovely Fathers Day!
