Weekly Update No 1

So I thought I would start doing a weekly update post, to share what I have been up to, what I have been reading and enjoying watching. A kind of mini update and favourites combined.

This week

We got back from Italy a week last Friday, so I have been busy at home with unpacking, washing and at work playing post-holiday catch up. Its hard isn’t it; you spend ages on pre-holiday getting on top of everything at work, to then come back and find you are behind again. Kind of makes you feel like not taking a holiday!! This weekend we had family time, a nice walk out with Luna at Shipley Park and just a chilled one.

On the blog

I have been spending time working on my photos in readiness for doing some posts on Italy. Whilst I am not the greatest photographer, I am really pleased with how some of them came out – it helps when the subject of the photo is so pretty. On top of this, I have been looking at new layouts and a new header, so watch this space for a new look at some point soon.

As I have neglected my blog recently I have lost my Amazon affiliate account, so I have had to go back and change all of my old posts with links on. So at the moment none of the links are affiliate ones. I am hoping to change this back in the future, as the website has costs and it would be nice to be able to cover them.

Weekly Reading and watching

As I am tired in the evenings at the moment, I just wanted a go-to TV series (especially now Game of Thrones is all done). So I am once again watching The Office – the American workplace. I absolutely love it and have watched it all the way through about 5 times (at least). We have it on DVD but have been watching it on Amazon Prime as all of the series’ are on there.

On holiday I finished reading Bad Mothers Diary – I did enjoy it as it was an easy read. I couldn’t really really relate to the story, as it was about a young mum who unexpectedly becomes a single mum. The story follows her journey, whilst encountering an old school crush and a journey to a marathon at the same time.

I have started on The Afterlife of Walter Augustus. It’s still early days in the book but so far so good.

I have also just started on The Umbrella Academy on Netflix which so far is good.

Things I have enjoyed over the last week or so

A Clinique lipstick in the shade Papaya Pop it is hard to get this shade – I got a small one in a multipack of pop lipsticks I got in the January sales. The third shop I went to finally had one left. It’s a lovely everyday shade.

Nespresso have some new pods out called Barista Creations. One of the Vertuo double expresso’s makes a lovely iced coffee and I am really into them again at the moment.

I am also loving an Almond Milk by Califia Farms – its an unsweetened Vanilla one and it’s lovely (again in iced coffee!!!)
