Halloween Ideas & Favourites

I used to decorate the house for Halloween, back when the kids were small, however, in recent years I just haven’t had the time. In addition to this, I desperately needed some inspiration and good Halloween ideas.

This year I really want to try -if anything I just want to delay getting ready for Christmas!! Christmas seems to be everywhere way too early this year and I am in denial!

I have already been to pick my own pumpkins this year and I have pinned loads of recipes (food and cocktails) to try and enjoy at home.

It’s not too late to get some unusual but fun things in for Halloween – even if you cannot make it out to the shops. Here are some good things I have found on Amazon (I think a majority if not all are on Prime so you could get them the next day – obviously check before ordering!)

Here are some Halloween ideas I have found on Amazon

Cake toppers

These cake toppers would be great for a Halloween party whether it’s for kids or adults.

Lights

These cute little pumpkin lights are so cute and as a bonus as they are battery operated. I think they would be cute inside a vase for decorating a table.

Battery operated Artificial Autumn Maple Leaf garland. This is so autumnal and the beauty is it could be left hanging up for all the autumn season not just for Halloween.

This is a blacklight UV Glow bulb – there are various ones of these available and obviously you would have to get one that fits your light fitting. This one appears to be energy-saving and last a lot longer than a lot of the others I looked at. This would work well with glow in the dark decor, face paint and things like white t-shirts.

This silver battery operated pumpkin light is nice as an autumnal ornament rather than just for a Halloween party.

And these are rose gold versions and they would look great on my desk! and also as a centrepiece on the table. They are on a timer too which helps.

Tacky Ornament anyone?

This is a flashing ornament, so would really draw attention for trick or treaters. It looks a little bit tacky, but who doesn’t love a bit of tat for Halloween props.

Props/drinking accessories

These blood pouches are brilliant for Halloween cocktails. At first, I thought that they didn’t hold enough, but it says that they hold 300ml in each, and it can hold alcohol as well as soda and juice. The info also says that they are reusable – I would question this as I am not sure you could wash them well, but feedback suggests that they are easy to use and clean, so I guess they are worth trying.

This skull head ice cube tray is made from silicone and produces 3 different types of skull heads. Not only would this make great ice cubes, but also it would make a great chocolate mould too.

Costumes – but not for you!

Last on the list and by no means least – fancy dress costumes but for your doggo…..

Luna hates dressing up but I am sooo tempted especially with the Yoda one. Absolutely love it!

If you do celebrate Halloween, hope you have a good one. Let me know if you have any plans and whether this sort of Halloween ideas type post helps!
